"The Best in the World" follows Mouctar, a Guinean migrant adapting to life in Paris. He enrolls in a non-profit school for migrants, where he meets Marion, an American social worker who leads an after-school theater workshop that he eagerly joins. Through interviews for Marion's thesis, theater workshops, and immigration processes, Mouctar shares a tragic story of why he left his homeland. However, the challenges he faces as a migrant in Paris spark nightmares that suggest a much darker truth.
