NADIA

Nadia is an award winning indie short film of the LA Independent Women Film Awards. The film is about a conflict between justice and legality: This narrative, inspired by real events, explores the (Polish) abortion law and its impact on women, their bodies, and their families.

Tanja Blume, the director of the film was born and educated in Berlin, Germany, completing high school in 2017 with a focus on English and Arts.

She pursued acting studies at The Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in New York. The institute's diverse class offerings allowed Tanja to explore various disciplines, including Screenwriting, Musical Theatre, American Cinema, Singing, and more.

Her debut film 'MOMENTUM' (2020) emerged from her Screenwriting class. The writing process extended beyond her graduation from the 2-year conservatory program in June 2019, continuing until late Fall 2019 when pre-production began.

Unfortunately, the Covid pandemic led to the cancellation of many upcoming projects, prompting Tanja to return to Berlin in March 2020.

However, in the summer of 2021, Tanja returned for a brief period to participate in a 4-week Filmmaking Intensive at the New York Film Academy, where she pursued her aspiration to become a director. Since then, she has been dedicated to learning and gaining experience, culminating in 'Nadia' (2022).

Tanja is currently applying to Film Schools in or near Berlin to begin her BA in Directing in the Fall of 2023.
