On Friday night in Venice, the grand hotels along the Grand Canal were lively with parties as the film world returned from Lido premieres to celebrate. A standout event was the dinner at the Gritti Palace by Cartier and A Rabbit’s Foot magazine, where editor-in-chief Charles Finch hosted guests like Jacob Elordi, Sofia and Francis Ford Coppola, Alicia Silverstone, and Alexander Payne for a meal of vegetable risotto and grilled fish.

Speeches honored the “craft of cinema,” with Finch toasting Cartier’s commitment to filmmakers, marking their fourth year as a main sponsor of the Venice Film Festival. Cartier’s SVP chief marketing officer Arnaud Carrez thanked Finch and the assembled artists.
The evening continued on the Gritti rooftop, transformed into a glittering open-air nightclub, with Rashida Jones, Gemma Chan, and George Mackay enjoying Champagne and views of Santa Maria della Salute. The party went late as guests relaxed and discussed upcoming films, despite next-day commitments.
