Fredric, a man consumed by the turmoil of his existence, stands at the brink of a cliff, pondering his destiny. His life has been tainted by addiction, infidelity, and failed relationships. As he jumps, he finds himself in a strange in-between realm—a purgatory where he must face his past misdeeds. Here, Fredric encounters not only the embodiments of his vices—prostitutes, alcohol, cocaine, and gambling—but also his "Shadow," a monstrous representation of his darkest urges. This Shadow serves as both a demon and a spiritual guide, urging Fredric to confront his decisions and their repercussions. Through this intense journey, Fredric learns that redemption starts with accepting responsibility for his actions. The film ends on an ambiguous note, leaving viewers to question whether Fredric has found peace in death, survived the fall, or undergone a transformative near-death experience. The final line resonates: "Redemption begins with regret."
